Soft Fences

Format: Textile Bed
Materials: Sheep Wool, Cotton, Wood, Metal
Guidance: Hanna Rullman

Exploring intimacy and vulnerability, especially within the bedroom, Soft Fences examines how intimacy intertwines the concepts of private property and self ownership, relating architecture and furniture to a moral concept.

‘Soft Fences’ presents a set of two objects: a canopy and a room divider, one encircling with transparency and the other demarcating with opacity. Together, they embody the blurred line between barrier and invitation, protection and expression. Through soft materials and architectural gestures, the work reflects how intimacy shapes, and is shaped by, the spaces around us.
