The mother project of this research, The Disagreement Libraries brings content born in a digital format to a print format and considers the transition between states as a moment of deformation of layout and content, a moment where extraction and filtering take place, bringing about a new circulation, a new archiving.

The Disagreement Libraries aims to republish websites from the 2000s dealing with black racial issues (in this edition focusing on Europe and Northern America) and reactivate their content through a dissection of their layers accompanied by contemporary commentary.

This originates from a reflection on comparisons between the reading experience in digital and print:
The human traces/errors from scanning, changes in placement of the book on the scanning surface as well as the folding at the spine and at the corners from use, spines not matching with the perfect half size of the spread, experiments with moving image and scans displaying the errors in scanning in one more standard format, speed making the marks more apparent, and finally the sound of pages flipping influencing the shape of a 3d model, digital and physical coming together, influencing each other.

The book is comprised of 3 layers :
- Text of the website on plain white paper
- The website interface on transparent plastic
- The commentary on 2/3rd of a thicker page , documenting the hyperlinks found as well as creating hyperlinks of its own with contemporary commentary

WIP: Plans to invite thinkers to add their own pages of commentary are in development.
